Neil Coombes

Solicitor, Neil Coombes is a partner with Waring and Co based in their Bolton Office. He responsible for the firm's North of England employment law department. He has a masters degree in employment law and has been advising and representing clients on employment law matters for over 10 years.

Neil has extensive experience of employment tribunal advocacy and has represented clients in the Employment Appeal Tribunal. Neil regularly writes articles of topical employment interest in the local press and has appearance on a radio employment law phone-in.

His reported cases include the Court of Appeal case of Willow Oak Development Ltd -v- Silverwood and others 2006 (unfair dismissal- change to contractual terms) and the Employment Appeal Tribunal case of Smart Interior Contractors Ltd-v- Thomas 2006 (costs-unreasonable conduct in an employment tribunal claim).
